MILAN (Reuters) – Total retail orders for Italy’s new 8-year BTP Italia bond have reached 6 billion euros ($6.30 billion) so far, bourse data showed on Wednesday.
By 0719 GMT retail orders on Wednesday alone amounted to 130 million euros, adding to the total of 5.87 billion euros raised in the first two days of the offering.
Professional buyers can start placing orders on Thursday, from 0800 to 1000 GMT.
Italian national consumer price index (NIC index) stood at an annual rate of 6.8% in May, ISTAT data showed last week.
